There is one God. God created all things: the heavens and the earth and all that exists in them. He is eternal one God in three persons – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are equal and are one God.
God created humans in his image, intending us to live in loving relationship with him. Because all people are created by God, we believe all people have an inherent value and worth. Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, and as a result we have been separated from God and live in a fallen and broken world.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days, proving His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Salvation is a gracious gift from God available to all people. No-one can ever make up for sin by works. Instead salvation is a gift of grace, an expression of God’s love for people. Salvation comes to a person through their repentance toward God and their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Eternal life begins when someone repents of sin and receives Jesus Christ into their life through faith in Him.
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Jesus Christ The Holy Spirit lives in all believers to make real the presence of Christ and to lead believers in their daily lives. The Holy Spirit gives Christians power for Holy living and gifts for service.
The Bible is God’s revealed word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is an infallible source of truth and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is a public declaration of acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ.
Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is an ordinance given to all believers to remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us on the cross and to symbolize the new covenant. The bread and wine (or grape juice) are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. Rather, it is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross.
The Church is the community called into being by God. In both it’s universal and local forms Church is made up of people who have personally and knowingly accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, and have pledged themselves to worship, follow and serve him as a community.
